Broadcast Pioneers member Marc Rayfield
Baseball season is a special time of year for Broadcast Pioneers member.Marc Rayfield. His family, friends and colleagues all describe him as a passionate Phillies fan. Just as the Phillies have enjoyed success, so, too, has Marc, ever since he graduated Temple University with a BA in Journalism in 1985.
Marc was an intern at POWER 99fm moving up the ladder over the next four years to Marketing Director and Sales Account Executive. His love of sports led him to feel right at home when he became Local Sales Manager at Sportsradio WIP in 1990.
Following a two-year tour of duty at ‘IP, he assumed the same position at KYW NEWSRADIO from 1992-94. In 1994 he was promoted to General Sales Manager and then Station Manager. Marc became Vice President/General Manager of WIP Sportsradio in 2003. In 2007 he became Senior Vice President/ Market Manager for the entire lineup of CBS Philadelphia Radio Stations, KYW, WIP, WPHT, WYSP (now WIP-FM), WOGL and the four play by play radio networks.
An avid reader, Marc has continued educational pursuits over the years earning an MS in Organizational Management from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992. He was inducted into Temple Alumni Hall of Fame in October 2007 and is a frequent Lecturer at Temple University, St. Joseph University, Drexel, Penn and Holy Family College.
Marc serves the community in so many ways including as a member of the Board of Directors for PAL, the Philadelphia Zoo, and the Haub School of Business at St. Joseph’s University, the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania, the USO, the ADL, the Holocaust Remembrance Foundation, the Jewish National Fund and the Terri Lynne Lokoff Childcare Foundation.
