Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia is thrilled to announce its 2026 Hall of Fame Honorees and Person of the Year. Twelve outstanding professionals who represent the best in the broadcasting industry.

The 2026 class will be inducted at the annual Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Hall of Fame Gala, Friday, November 20, 2026, at Live! Casino & Hotel.

The Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Person of the Year are Preston & Steve. Hosts of Philadelphia’s top rated morning show for 22 years on WMMR, they are National Radio Hall of Fame honorees and 2025 Marconi Personality of the Year. In 2025 the 28th annual Preston & Steve’s Camp Out For Hunger raised over 1,843,362 pounds of food and $1,934,480.06 to support Philabundance and their 350+ community food pantry partners. Their annual ‘I Bleed for Preston & Steve‘ blood drive has surpassed 23,000 units donated for the American Red Cross. They were inducted into the Broadcast Pioneers Hall of Fame in 2019.

The 2026 Hall of Fame Honorees, in alphabetical order:

Derrick “DC” Corbett
Nationally recognized as a top Radio executive and one of Hip Hop & R&B’s most influential programmers, Derrick ‘DC’ Corbett has led Philadelphia’s WDAS-FM and WUSL-FM to over 70 #1 ratings surveys, four NAB Crystal Awards and four Points of Light Awards for service.

Kathleen Gerrow
Vice President and News Director CBS Philadelphia since 2022 following 30 years with NBC Universal / NBC10, Emmy Award winner Kathleen Gerrow rose through the ranks from writer to reporter to producer to Vice President of News as an editorial decision maker covering news throughout the Philadelphia area.

Vince Hill
Beginning as a desk assistant at KYW NewsRadio in 1979, Vince Hill was just 22 when he was named a full-time anchor, the station’s first full-time African-American anchor and the youngest to ever hold that position. Retiring as the Business Editor/Anchor, he was mentor and teacher to countless radio journalists at the university level and through the KYW Newstudies program.

Jennifer Lynn
An award-winning broadcast journalist and respected NPR voice, including 12 years as host of WHYY’s Morning Edition, Jennifer Lynn’s career has spanned four decades in radio, audio storytelling, and community engagement.

Tom McCarthy
Award-winning television play-by-play announcer for the Philadelphia Phillies, Tom McCarthy also calls NFL games for radio and television broadcasts for CBS TV and Westwood One. On the collegiate side he’s been the play-by-play voice of Saint Joseph’s, Rutgers and Princeton University to name a few.

Joe McPeak
Award-winning broadcast producer and director, Joe McPeak has produced and directed the Philadelphia Eagles Radio Network on SportsRadio 94.1 WIP for 41 consecutive seasons, working alongside fellow Hall of Famers Merrill Reese and Mike Quick. He has produced numerous nationally recognized NFL broadcasts, including several NFL American Bowl games in London and Tokyo.

Al Morganti
Pre-and post-game analyst for the Philadelphia Flyers broadcasts on NBC Sports Philadelphia, Al Morganti is also a journalist covering the NHL and a radio personality for 94.1 WIP in Philadelphia.

Matt O’Donnell
A former WPVI intern, Matt O’Donnell returned to the 6abc Action News Team in 1996. He has been co-anchor of Action News Mornings since 2004 and he now also co-hosts the Sunday political show Inside Story and is the host and producer of the True Philadelphia Podcast.

Christy Springfield
A Philly radio veteran of over 40 years Christy Springfield has been a mainstay in the market as an award-winning radio personality and traffic reporter at stations including Hot Hits 98 (WCAU-FM)/Oldies 98 (WOGL FM), 92.5 XTU (WXTU) and KYW NewsRadio, and is an educator at Temple University teaching Voice Performance for the Media.

Bill Weston
Legendary Program Director of WMMR FM and WMGK FM from 2004 to 2023, Bill Weston defined the format, helping the stations earn unprecedented ratings success and industry recognition, including multiple NAB Marconi and Crystal awards.
